At its July 27 meeting, the Board approved the formation of a Legislative Advisory Committee in preparation for the 90th Legislative Session. The GCISD Legislative Committee is designed to educate and empower members of our school community to better understand public education policy and participate in the legislative process.
Whether you have several hours each week or only a few opportunities throughout the legislative session, there is a place for you. The GCISD Legislative Advisory Committee work is nonpartisan and focused on advancing the GCISD Board of Trustees' adopted legislative priorities.
The application deadline is Friday, August 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., and is available on GCISD’s Committees website page.
