Book Tasting at the Creek: Where Learning is a Delightful Experience! Our fourth-grade reading teachers recently transformed their classrooms into cozy, inviting restaurants for a special **Book Tasting** activity. Just like diners browsing a menu, students explored a variety of books by sampling. This creative approach makes reading fun and interactive, inspiring students to become enthusiastic readers while practicing important literacy skills. We love having fun while learning at the Creek, and Book Tasting is just one of the many ways we bring excitement to our classrooms! ---

Thank You to Our BCE Community! We want to extend a BIG **thank you** to our amazing BCE community for your incredible support throughout so many school spirit nights this year. Together, we’ve built a stronger community while having a lot of fun along the way! From playing games at Rock and Brews, trying out the new Portillo’s restaurant, to even bringing our pets along to Lazy Dog, these events have brought us closer and created wonderful memories. Our BCE community’s enthusiasm has made a difference, and the funds raised have gone directly to supporting the many programs and activities that benefit our students and staff at the Creek. A special shout-out goes to **Ms. Brittany Workman**, parent and teacher, who has done an amazing job planning all these fantastic nights. Our most recent event at Chuck E. Cheese was a blast, and we can’t wait for more fun times ahead in 2025-2026. Thank you all for being part of this journey and for making BCE such a vibrant and supportive community! 💛💙🐻

Did you know that we have BCE students who participate in the GCISD Honors choir? These fifth grade girls have been practicing with students from all over GCISD and sharpening their singing voices. This week, they got to attend their competition and won. We are so proud of the way they represent The Creek! 💛💙🐻

BCE is incredibly proud to celebrate our Special Olympics athlete, Ahab! 🏅 He was honored at the Special Olympics banquet for his outstanding season. A big thank you to Ms. Workman, his teacher, for all her support. Ahab’s hard work and determination truly shine, and we’re so proud of his achievements! 💛💙🐻

🎨Honoring Our Everyday Heroes! Our amazing school police officer, Officer Solis, challenged our students to create artwork celebrating the superheroes in our police force. The creativity and spirit shown by our Cubs was big. THANK YOU to all the students who participated - your art beautifully honors the dedication and bravery of our officers. We’re so proud of your efforts and grateful for Officer Solis' commitment to building positive connections in our community!

🏅 What an incredible Field Day! 🏅 Our amazing Coach Adkins organized a fun-filled morning where students transformed into athletes, giving their all to help their teams succeed in every activity. The energy, teamwork, and smiles were absolutely inspiring! We’re so grateful for our PE coaches, Coach Adkins and Coach Veil, who not only make fitness fun but also prepare our Cubs for a bright and active future. Thank you for your dedication and passion!

Our amazing third grade teachers teamed up with our school librarian to host a special School Learning Night for families. We enjoyed a delightful story walk and spent quality time visiting with families under the Texas sky. 🌳📚 Huge thanks to our third grade team for their commitment to build such a strong, supportive community. We love how you make learning fun and bring us all together! 💙✨

BCE Loves the Lunch Heroes. Our PTA in partnership with our administration team celebrated our Lunch Heroes with a giant lunch sack full of goodies. Thank you for taking care of the Bear Creek Bears! 💛💙🐻

The BCE teachers and support staff take such good care of each other. The Pre-K team organized the sweetest celebration to honor Mrs. Taylor and her baby boy. We are happy for you and your family Mrs. Taylor.

Level Up Staff Congratulations to our staff leveling up! We're thrilled to celebrate two members of our Bear Creek Elementary community this week for truly embodying our "Level Up" spirit: Nurse Maggie and Coach Veil! Nurse Maggie went above and beyond on the 5th-grade field trip, demonstrating her commitment to the well-being of everyone at Bear Creek – students and teachers alike. One of our goals each day is to make sure we leave our work spaces neat and orderly so our custodian crew can do the cleaning. Our Cubs are recognized for their efforts to keep their rooms "squeaky clean" with the coolest 🏆 trophy. Congratulations to Ms. Workman's class for keeping their rooms squeaky clean.
