Grapevine High School junior Piyush Mallick recently achieved a perfect score of 36 on the ACT.
“It feels great,” he said. “I worked very hard to get where I was on the ACT. I’m very happy with my score.”
When asked about his preparation for the exam, Mallick credits the ACT practice book which guided him to manage the pace of the exam. He also credits his math and reading teachers for advancing his skills in those subjects.
Mallick hopes to be accepted into the University of Texas at Austin, Stanford University, or Massachusetts Institute of Technology next school year and pursue a career in computer sciences.
“As a field, there are many evolving opportunities with artificial intelligence and machine learning. With computer sciences, I’m interested in its application in medicine and imagery,” added Mallick.
Mallick is the third GCISD student to achieve a perfect score on the ACT this school year.
